Áine's Policy Focus

Please click on the  Programme for Government  of June 2007 which sets out in clear and ambitious terms a shared vision for Ireland's development over the coming five years.

In order to make a positive difference to the quality of life for the people of Kildare North, Áine has decided to give priority to four policy areas as follows:

1. Children and schools

2. Transport 

3. Health services

4. The environment

Why focus on these four policy areas? First of all, the feedback from the hundreds of people that Áine has met in her work on the ground in Kildare North indicates that these issues are important to a large number of individuals and families. Second, Áine believes that by focusing on specific key issues she will deliver better results for the people.

Politicians who have long shopping lists of 'priorities' have no priorities at all!
