December 2009 – Works to re-start on Kill NS in early 2010 says Brady

Local TD and Minister of State, Aine Brady, has been informed by her colleague the Minister for Education, Batt O'Keeffe TD, that works on the building of the new school at Kill will recommence in early 2010.

'Last month, the contractor that was constructing the new National School in Kill experienced Financial difficulties and was unable to complete the works. Since then, together with the school community, we have tried to get a new contractor in place to finish the school.'

'The Minister for Education has now informed me that prequalification of contractors for the completion of the project is underway in his Department. Once this is completed, the project will then be tendered immediately with works will recommence in early 2010.' concluded Minister Brady.
