June 2009 – Further Approvals for Schools in North Kildare says Brady

Local Minister of State, Aine Brady TD, has been informed by the Minister for Education, Batt O'Keeffe TD, that funding for projects at schools in Kilshanroe and in Prosperous has been approved .

'Funding is to be provided for a Car Park, pull in area and Boundary Wall at Kilshanroe NS and for Roof Works at St Farnans Vocational School.'

'I recently made representations to the Minister in connection with these projects and I am delighted that funding has now been approved. The Building Unit of the Department of Education will be in touch with the relevant school authorities in the coming weeks to enable the works to proceed.'

'This announcement , taken together with recent approvals for works at Schools in Rathmore, Clane Boys NS, Hewetson NS in Clane and Mercy Primary School in Naas, shows that progress is been made to improve the condition of our schools. This week , work has also begun on the construction of the new school at KillI.'

'I again commend the schools for their work in preparing the necessary documentation to secure this funding.' concluded Minister Brady.
