October 2008 – Kilcock Bus Service raised with Bus Eireann

Deputy Aine Brady has again pressed Bus Eireann to provide additional services for Kilcock.

‘Kilcock has grown significantly in recent years. Many commuters would use public transport if there was a regular and reliable service.'

‘While I recognise that Iarnrod Eireann have plans to improve their service for commuters in Kilcock, we need to provide a better bus service for Kilcock. I will continue to raise the issue with Bus Eireann.' stated Deputy Brady.

'Earlier this year, Bus Eireann outlined their plans under Transport 21 to significantly improve their Kilcock service. While I understand that with depleting Government resources, Bus Eireann may have to implement their plans over a longer timeframe, however I have strongly pressed Bus Eireann to prioritise areas like Kilcock when reviewing their operational plans for 2009.' concluded Deputy Brady.
