September 2008 – Brady congratulates Kildare Tidy Towns Committees

Local Fianna Fail T.D. Áine Brady has congratulated the Tidy Towns teams around Kildare as several prizes were secured in the annual Awards.

"The prizes won in Kildare are evidence of the commitment and dedication of Tidy Towns committees around the county."

"Derrinturn won an Endeavour Award and Kill, Naas and Straffan won Bronze Medals."

"The Tidy Towns competition demands significant time and effort from volunteers who work year around to make our towns and villages attractive places to live. Their work benefits the whole community. I would like to extend my congratulations to all of the volunteers and encourage anyone who is interested to get involved. The positive effects are plain to see and I am delighted that the hard work has received such a high level of national recognition," concluded Deputy Brady.
