Deputy Aine Brady has rasied the problems with the Ardclough treatment plant with Kildare Co Co
'Kildare Co Co accept that the problems with the Treatment Plant in Ardclough need to be addressed.'
'The council has informed me that as an intermin measure they have been tankering effluent to its Leixlip plant for Treatment.'
'Kildare Co Co are of the view that the most desirable long term solution is to pipe the effluent to the nearest point of the sewage network - Celbridge. The Council have advised me that this proposal is being actively considered by the council with a view to possibly bringing forward a capital scheme.' stated Deputy Brady
'A further interim measure,been considered by the council, is that the exisiting puraflo bed be replaced subject to funding being forthcoming from the‘Small Schemes Programme.'concluded Deputy Brady.
