Deputy Aine Brady has been informed by OK Community Transport that they will provide a weekly service from Ardclough to Celbridge.
‘I am delighted that we are making progress on the provision of a service from Ardclough to Celbridge. Currently Ardclough has no Bus Service and it is important that we try and set up a service which ensures that Ardclough gets connectivity to our public transport network and give some of our older people a service to link into Celbridge.' Stated Deputy Brady.
‘Over the last year, I met with Bus Eireann and Dublin Bus seeking asking them to provide a service. Currently there does not seem to be a Business Case to provide such a service, but I will keep in on their agenda.'
‘However, OK Community Transport have now made the decision to set up a weekly service to and from Celbridge. The day of the week and the time of the day have to be agreed between Ardclough Community Council and OK Community Transport.' Stated Deputy Brady who complimented both groups on the positive approach that they have adopted to project.
‘I would urge the community of Ardclough to make use of this service so that we can maintain it into the future for the people of Ardclough. If the service does attract users, it will be expanded.' concluded Deputy Brady.
