About Áine

Áine Brady topped the poll in the 2007 General Election to become the first ever woman Fianna Fail TD for Kildare North. 

She is a mother of four teenage children and is married to Gerry, former TD and Councillor.

She has been a teacher at Scoil na Mainistreach in Celbridge for 22 years.

Áine lives in Clane with her family and she has been politically active in Kildare and Fianna Fáil for many years.

Áine topped the 1st preference poll for Fianna Fáil in the Kildare North by-election in 2005.

Over the past number of years Áine has been the energetic voice of Kildare North in Government and she has developed excellent relationships with Ministers, State agencies and Kildare County Council to get things done on behalf of the people.

Her track record of work in the community and voluntary sectors is second to none.

Passionate about politics and serving the needs of the public, Áine has a very high work-rate.
